Welcome
to the Train Photos Page!

This
photo is one of my most recent
works. Shown here are two of my railroad lanterns
from my
growing collection.
The lantern on the left is a Dietz Vesta,
and it
is a true railroad lantern,
although I do not know if it was bought for private or railroad use.
The
lantern on the right is a "regular"
lantern bought secondhand.

Another
shot of the Dietz Vesta.

Ex-
Burlington Northern 2723 is
the lead unit in a consist of 3 locomotives
and
roughly 83 container cars en
route under a pedestrian overpass
in
Seattle, Washington. Waiting
for just one hour, Seattle offered 4 trains,
with
the station trackside, and
the heritage trolley route only a block away.

These
photos come from Palmer on
the Friday
after
Turkey Day 2004. The
freight had 120 cars,
and
about 6 high horsepower units,
along
with 2
gp(40?)s tagging along behind
the 6-axle power.
We
were lucky. There was just
enough light left, and
the
freight had to wait for a Westbound
Vermonter.
After
that was some switching by
the New England
Central
across the diamond.

Personally,
I don't like the Dark
Future paint scheme. I think the really good
look
would have been the old paint
scheme with the Dark Future
colors.
It would make a Gp40
look really sharp.

(This one looked better at higher
res.)

This
last photo is an H.O. scale
model water tower, complete
with
truck and repairman right
out of the 1950s.
