Okay,
so we've had enough of the
white stuff. It just makes good
photographs
too easy to come by.

The
locomotive is there all right,
but we lost
the
brakeman when he got out to
drain the tanks.
Just
vanished into the snowbank,
and we haven't seen 'im since.

This
shot is really neat if you
look at it closely enough.
It's
hard to see at this size,
but in front are the blue line
cars,
the a red line car, and peeking
out behind that
in gray
is an orange line car.
All three branches,
although
when these cars were built,
the color
codes
were still a long way away.
Color codes were created in the 60's by the MBTA.
Blue line for the seaside trackage.
Red line for Harvard, with scarlet school colors
Green through the emerald necklace
And
orange because the old el ran
above Washington street,
formerly
Orange street.

I'm
not sure anything in this photo
will be going too far anywhere soon.

The
catenary is up there, the signal
post is ready for the oncoming train.....
So
where'd the tracks go?

Oh,
there they are.
